Inspired by papercraft models and cut outs, today’s Google Doodle is the first 2015 holiday logo the site has posted. The image was created by Google Doodler Robinson Wood and links to a search for “Tis the season!”
Today may mark the first holiday doodle of 2015, but Google has been in the holiday spirit for some time now, launching its Santa Tracker at the beginning of the month, followed by holiday-themed decorations on pages for “Hanukkah,” “Christmas” and “Kwanzaa” searches.
Google also created an automated Dreidel game, with a digital version of the Hanukkah spinning toy posted at the top of results for “Play Dreidel” searches.
As we draw closer to Christmas, Kwanzaa and the New Year, we’ll continue to cover more Google Holiday Doodles.
