It’s the first day of Fall, and Google is marking the transition into shorter, colder days with an Autumn-themed animated Google Doodle.
“Notice what’s been popping up lately?” asks Google on its Doodle Blog, “Pumpkins, squash, and some curious little critters, hungry for a harvest.”
Designed by guest artist Kirsten Lepore, the animated logo includes a collection of Fall harvest vegetables, with a squirrel darting between the pumpkins and squash. The autumn-themed Doodle also includes sharing icons and links to a search for [Autumnal Equinox].
Today’s Autumn-themed Google logo is displayed across Google homepages in the Northern Hemisphere.
